Welcome João Baldé
Arbroath FC are delighted to welcome attacking midfielder João Baldé to the club.
João joins the club on a free transfer from Premiership side Hibernian and has signed a contract until the end of the 2023/2024 season.
João, who is a product of the Rangers Youth Academy signed for Livingston in the summer of 2020 before moving to Civil Service Strollers. During his time there he caught the attention of Hibernian who signed João in January 2022.
He was loaned back Civil Service Strollers for the remainder of the season whilst also turning out for the Hibs development side.
This season João went out on loan to East Fife where he actually played against Arbroath catching the eye with some mazy run forwards and good build up play.
João is very good on the ball, can play in numerous positions and is full of power and energy and will be an exciting player for the fans.
João will wear shirt number 25 for Arbroath.
