After the dust has settled on another great season Booner and his ground staff have wasted no time in starting to get the pitch prepared again for next season.
As soon as the final home match was played, the goals were taken down and the playing surface has had it’s summer treatment.
The pitch has been has been scarified, vertidrained, then dressed with sand and topsoil to help with the drainage. Finally the bare areas reseeded to complete the treatment.
During the summer months it will be cut daily and treated to remove any weeds and fertilizer applied to aid growth to help keep the fantastic surface we are used to.
The Club would like to pay special thanks to everyone involved with this, especially a good supporter of the club Derek Smyth, Director at D Geddes (Contractors) for providing the material to assist. His help is very much appreciated by everyone.
C’mon the Lichties!
