Thank you Chris Hamilton
Everyone at Arbroath FC would like to thank Chris Hamilton and his parent Club Heart of Midlothian for Chris’s spell at Gayfield which has now come to an end.
We have been extremely lucky to have Chris play for Arbroath this season. The 20-year-old seamlessly fitted into the dressing room and team and was soon a favourite of our supporters with his tireless running and competing for every single ball. Starting out at right back, before making the position in-front of the back 4 his own, Chris showed great maturity and levels of skill as he went up against experienced players week in and week out and showed no fear or intimidation winning battles every single match.
Even when it looked like he had suffered a serious injury at Partick Thistle and was forced off on a stretcher he shocked us all by making a complete recovery and was back on the pitch just 7 days later.
A pivotal player in our team and part of our success we know that Chris has a huge future in the game, and would be welcome back at Gayfield anytime.
Chris made 28 starts in the Championship with a further appearance from the bench, started both Premiership Play-off matches, started all 3 Scottish Cup matches, a start in the SPFL Trophy Trust and 1 start and 1 sub in the Premier Sports Cup.
Chris was voted Young Player of the Year by our supporters and his loan at Gayfield will be fondly remembered by our supporters.
A fantastic young gentleman and talented footballer, we wish Chris all the very best for the future and thank him for his time at Gayfield.
Thank you Chris!
C’mon the Lichties!
