Stranraer vs Arbroath – Match Information
Match Day 30 – Ladbrokes League 1 – Season 2018 / 2019
Saturday 23rd March 2019, Stair Park, Stranraer – 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath make the long trip down to Stranraer tomorrow as we face Stephen Farrell’s Stranraer side at Stair Park.
Stranraer have played 6 games since our 1-1 draw at Gayfield on Tuesday 12th February and have recorded wins over Brechin City, Stenhousemuir, whilst also drawn with Stenhousemuir and Raith Rovers but suffering defeats against Dumbarton and East Fife.
The signing of Ali McCann from St Johnstone in February has helped boosted the Blues on the field, and off the field the Stranraer supporters have been lifted with Manager Stevie Farrell signing on for another 2 years at Stair Park.
Results this season against Stranraer have all been close encounters with Stranraer also knocking out the Lichties in the Scottish Cup. We know that tomorrow will be another very tough game for the players as Stranraer look to put some space between themselves and Stenhousemuir and Brechin City who are both only 4 points behind the Blues.
Arbroath will be hoping that David Gold will be fit to play after the influential midfielder managed 67 minutes last weekend. It will be familiar territory for strikers Luke Donnelly and Ryan Wallace who have both played their home games at Stair Park in the past.
It’s one of the longest journeys that Arbroath fans face so we do appreciate every single supporter who makes the trip south. There will be a packed bus from TASC 1878 going and all the cheering and support really does help the players.
If you are traveling please have a safe trip and we shall see you in Stranraer!
