Stirling Albion vs Arbroath – Match Preview

Betfred Cup – Group C – Game 2 – Season 2019 / 2020
Wednesday 17th July 2019, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 7.45pm kick off.
Arbroath make their first return to Forthbank Stadium since lifting the League 2 Trophy there in 2016.
Stirling Albion produced a fantastic performance on Saturday to come back and record a 1-1 draw at home to Stirling Albion before losing out in the penalty kick shoot-out for the bonus point.
Stirling Albion Manager Kevin Rutkiewicz will no doubt have his side up for the visit of the Lichties and there will be a few familiar faces in the home team with former Lichties Kevin Nicoll and Jordan Lowdon both moving to Forthbank this summer.
Kevin missed Saturday’s game alongside James Creaney and Gareth Rodger and it is unknown if they will be all fit enough to start tonight.
Arbroath will be hopeful of welcoming back Luke Donnelly and Scott Stewart to the squad as the Lichties look for their second win in Group C.
Arbroath players Thomas O’Brien and Mark Whatley will be hoping not to pick up another yellow card which would keep them out of the Hibernian match at Easter Road next Tuesday.
