Stirling Albion 1 – 6 Arbroath
Arbroath scored 6 goals tonight at Forthbank to make it 2 wins out of 2 in the Betfred Cup.
David Gold scored after just 48 seconds after a great passing move.
Michael McKenna headed in our second after a great run down the wing by Bobby Linn before Colin Hamilton crossed it in to the back post.
James Murphy came on to replace Jason Thomson midway though the first half
Stirling pulled a goal back in the first minute of the second half from a corner kick through Mackin.
But after weathering a storm Arbroath started to come back and soon scored a third, and another goal for David Gold who had a fantastic game and was assisted by Colin Hamilton after Bobby Linn took a free kick.
Colin Hamilton then added a 4th before substitute Greig Spence added a 5th.
Spence made it 6-1 with a great strike to round off a fantastic evening for the Lichties.
