Steven Hetherington
Arbroath FC are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Steven Hetherington on loan from Falkirk until the end of the season.
Steven, 29, started his footballing career with this hometown club, Hartlepool United before moving to Scotland and signing with Rangers in 2009 being drafted straight into their Under-19’s team.
In 2011 Steven made the switch to Motherwell and made several first team appearances before moving to Airdrie United on loan in the 2012/2013 season.
During the 2013/2014 season Steven played for English non-league sides Celtic Nation and Crook Town in England followed before signing for Alloa Athletic in July 2014.
Steven often came up against Arbroath during his time with Alloa Athletic and was always full of determination and fight with a range of passes and big goals.
During his time at Alloa Athletic he made over 200 Club appearances, scored 7 goals and was named player of the year 2017/2018 and with vast experience of the Scottish Championship and Scottish League One he will be a valuable addition for the Lichties.
In June 2021 Steven left Alloa Athletic to sign for Falkirk where he has made over 50 appearances and was Club Captain.
