In my day job I am a Civil Engineer with Perth & Kinross Council which at times can be quite challenging but also very rewarding. I have always been involved in football and my involvement with Arbroath FC, although having different challenges, gives me an enjoyable labour of love outside of my day job.
I am married to Teresa and have a family of four with our sons Ross, Craig and Blair, and our daughter Sophie. I was born and bred in Arbroath and as a boy I stood on the terracing with my dad, I then played for the clubs youth team and the reserves, but never made it to the first team. I have supported the club all my life and I have many great memories from the terraces as a fan and have now added last season’s incredible memories from that glorious day in Stirling.
I have been involved with the community of Arbroath for many years through charity fundraising with Arbroath Round Table and then with Relay for Life. My first involvement off the park with the club was when I was asked to host match day hospitality a couple of seasons ago. I must have done something right as I was asked back and appointed as a Director of the club in June 2015.
My main involvement and duties at the club are hosting matchday hospitality, managing the pitch side advertising boards and very important for me working with the community. I definitely see the club as a community club and we are working hard with the various groups, businesses, and individuals in Arbroath for the benefit of the community and the club.
I am excited about the coming season and the future, although there is a lot of hard work to be done I think we are heading in the right direction to where we want to be both on and off the park.
