Premier Sports Cup – Group E – Matchday 1 – Season 2022/2023

Saturday 9th July 2022, St Mirren Park, Paisley, 3pm kick off

It’s only 56 days since Arbroath played their last competitive match, but tomorrow we travel down to Paisley for our first ever match at St Mirren Park.

The last time the sides met was in the Scottish First Division on 5th April 2003 where a Cameron Martin goal in the 14th minute secured a 1-0 win for the Buddies.

The Arbroath side that day was – Hinchcliffe, McMullen, Ritchie, Florence, Currie, Dow, Cuisick, Cargill (Farqurharson), Bowman (Heenan), Henslee, Brownlie (Swankie) – Unused Sub Graham

Link – Former Lichtie Andy Webster is Assistant Head of Youth at St Mirren.

Both Dick and Ian Campbell have spoke out about the difficulties of playing competitive games so early in the summer with only signed players and juggling the squad. It’s the only time a lot of our players can take a well-earned holidays with their families and children who have just come off for the school holidays.

Ticket System

There is an electronic ticketing system in place at the turnstiles.

The process of using the system is fairly straight-forward and easy to use:

On entering the turnstile you will see the ticket reader.

Place your match ticket (with the barcode or QR code facing upwards) or smartcard – into the aperture.

Once the ticket/smartcard is accepted into the system the green light will illuminate and an audio alert will sound after which you should hear the turnstile being unlocked.

Push the turnstile gate and enter the stadium as you normally would.

We hope that all Lichties traveling down have a safe journey and enjoy the game!

C’mon the Lichties
