We welcomed back Arbroath Walking Football (Maroon) and Carnoustie Panmure Walking Football (White) to Gayfield on Saturday as they took part in our slightly older Match Day Experience!
The Arbroath Walking team were Scotland’s sole representatives recently in Spain for the Lorus Consulting Copa Española in Cambrils. The lads finished the tournament unbeaten, but lost out on first spot by one goal. As well as taking part in local tournaments and friendlies, the club are already planning their next trip abroad. Anyone over the age of 50 is welcome to come along and give it a try.
The Carnoustie Panmure Walking team are also recently back from overseas as they traveled to Portugal where they finished runners-up after losing 1-0 to a team of ex-pats who now reside in Portugal.
The gentleman showed off their silky skills at half time on the Gayfield pitch in front of a bumper crowd and despite the good nature of the game there were still a few tumbles!
