“FINALLY, we can share the news that Skilz Academyhave been shortlisted for the 2019 Peoples Projects award to be in with a chance of winning an amazing £50,000!!
We need your support to help achieve it by voting for GLOW FOR IT!
On Thursday 4th April, Skilz Academy will showcase its project, GLOW FOR IT on STV news at 6pm telling local viewers exactly why they deserve to win. To be in with a chance of claiming the top prize, Skilz Academy is asking people to support its bid by visiting the People’s Projects website to vote.
Voting opens at 9am on Monday 1 April at www.thepeoplesprojects.org.uk.
If successful, Skilz Academy will use the grant to expand the current Glow Sport programme that has been running in partnership with Active Schools Angus.
The Glow project has already proven to be a success with the young people, especially those who lack confidence and self-esteem. Lights go off, ultra violet lights go on.
Sport in the dark with music, wearing glow in the dark accessories and face paint.
Skilz would also use the money to support Street Sport projects and start a new DJ project to engage as many local young people as we can.
