Raith Rovers vs Arbroath – Match Preview

cinch Scottish Championship – Game 09 – Season 2021/2022

Saturday 16th October 2021, Stark’s Park, Kirkcaldy, 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath are back on the road tomorrow as they travel to Fife to take on John McGlynn’s Raith Rovers which also brings the first quarter of the season to an end.

Raith Rovers have yet again been the team which have impressed many supporters in the Championship with their attacking style and fluid passing with experience and quality all over the pitch.

Having just signed Ethan Ross from Aberdeen yesterday, the Rovers will be given an extra boost but confidence is already high in the camp having inflicted a 3-1 defeat on league favourites Kilmarnock away on matchday 8.

Sitting just a point behind Arbroath in 4th place, Raith Rovers have only suffered two defeats – away to Inverness and at home to Queen of the South.

Last season both sides had a home win each, with the final match at Stark’s Park ending in a 2-2 draw in which the Lichties came back from 2 goals down.

Arbroath should have a full squad of players to choose from with Nicky Low the only absentee.

The influential midfielder is still on the mend after having a Kilmarnock player land on his ankle in our recent televised match at Gayfield.

It will be another extremely tough match but we hope you can get right behind the team from the very start.

C’mon the Lichties
