Queen’s Park vs Arbroath – Match Preview

cinch Scottish Championship – Game 2 – Season 2023/2024

Saturday 12th August 2023, Lesser Hampden, Glasgow – 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath travel down to Lesser Hampden today for the first Championship match to be played at the new City Stadium. In fact, it will be the only Championship match to be played there this season as Queen’s Park return to Hampden after the Scotland vs England international match on September 15th.

It has been a huge summer of change for the Spiders with Owen Coyle departing and Dutch Head Coach Robin Veldman being appointed. There has also been a huge turnaround in players with 16 players either having left / loans expired or being sent out on loan with 7 senior players coming in.

Arbroath welcome back Mark Stowe, Jess Norey and goalkeeper Ali Adams who return after suspension with Manager Dick Campbell looking for a response from our result last Friday.

Our last match against Queen’s Park was a 1-0 win at Ochilview thanks to a Dale Hilson goal.

It will be another tough test for the Lichties, but we hope those who secured a ticket will cheer on the team.

We hope to see you there!

C’mon the Lichties
