Queen’s Park vs Arbroath – Match Preview
cinch Scottish Championship – Game 30 – Season 2022/2023
Friday 24th March 2023, Ochilview, Larbert, 7.45pm kick off
Arbroath travel down to Ochilview this evening to take on Owen Coyle’s Queen’s Park for the 4th and final time this season.
The previous meeting at Ochilview back in October was a 1-1 draw with a Bobby Linn goal on the hour mark securing a point for the Lichties.
Current Championship Leaders Queen’s Park last suffered defeat back in February in a 3-2 loss to Greenock Morton and have a 4 point lead over Dundee at the top of the table.
Former Lichtie Simon Murray moved to Ross County in January but former loan Lichtie Marcel Oakley is now on loan with the Spiders along with former Lichties Lewis Moore and Jake Davidson. The Arbroath connection also continues with Scott Stewart’s father, Sandy Stewart who is the assistant Manager to Owen Coyle
With the departure of Murray, Owen Coyle boosted his attack with the loan signings of Josh McPake, Ewan Henderson and Connor Shields from Rangers, Hearts and Motherwell respectively.
For the Lichties Manager Dick Campbell returns to the dugout after serving his one-match suspension last Friday with Keaghan Jacobs also getting closer and closer to a return to the team.
It will be another tough test for the Lichties, but we hope you can make the trip down and cheer on the team.
We hope to see you there!
C’mon the Lichties
