Partick Thistle vs Arbroath – Match Preview
cinch Scottish Championship – Game 17 – Season 2021/2022
Saturday 11th December 2021, Firhill, Glasgow 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath make the trip down to Glasgow tomorrow to take on Ian McCall’s Partick Thistle.
Both sides sit on 28 points, with a goal difference of only 2 goals keeping the Jags above the Lichties.
The two sides met at Gayfield on the 3rd game of the season when a Colin Hamilton goal in the 33rd minute but Arbroath behind, but rallied and two goals from Michael McKenna and a strike from Nicky Low gave Arbroath a 3-1 win.
Firhill has become a Fortress for Partick Thistle with only Kilmarnock the team to leave with 3 points and that was all the way back on the 18th September and having only conceded 4 goals at home all season Partick Thistle also have the best home defensive record.
At the other end, Partick have scored 29 goals and are the leading scorers with Arbroath and Raith Rovers just 3 behind on 26 goals.
Defender Stephen Hendrie has joined the Jags since our last meeting, but other than that it is the same squad packed with experience that await Arbroath.
This game may just come too early for Nicky Low who is closing on a comeback, with Dick Campbell being forced to reshuffle his defence as Ricky Little is set to miss out after suffering a bad head knock and concussion last Saturday against Raith Rovers.
With Firhill being a stadium that many Lichties have only visited once or twice or if this is your very first time we hope for a large support to cheer on the team.
It will be another extremely tough match but we hope you can get right behind the team from the very start.
C’mon the Lichties
