Partick Thistle 3 – 0 Arbroath
The Lichties lost out at Firhill this afternoon. Arbroath made a really bright and positive start but Brian Graham’s deflected effort from a free kick gave the visitors the lead in the 16th minute.
The Arbroath heads didn’t go down and Arbroath were finding lots of space down the channels and playing some good football from front to back but just couldn’t trouble Sneddon.
Despite being on top the Lichties suffered another blow just before half time when Dale Hilson fell from onto the ground from height after going for a header and had to leave the field with what looked like a rib injury.

The second half hadn’t really sparked into the best of matches but Arbroath were still in it, but what looked like a foul on Dylan Tait in the centre circle wasn’t given and Partick raced on towards the Arbroath goal with Kyle Turned netting in the 79th minute.
Thomas O’Brien and David Gold were both forced off with injury midway through the second half.
The goal killed the game, and the home side got their third in the 84th minute when a flicked on corner kick was headed in by Harry Milne who had been voted the home Man of the Match.
Milne was even on hand to acrobatically deny substitute Bobby Linn a late consolation and he somehow headed the ball off the line whilst jumping backwards.
A scoreline which didn’t reflect the true nature of the game, but the Lichties are still search for another win.
