Arbroath extended their lead at the top of League One on Saturday afternoon to 11 points thanks to a Thomas O’Brien header in the 76th minute.
It ended all square at Links Park this afternoon in a game which erupted into life in the second half.
Montrose midfielder Paul Watson was shown a straight red card for a late challenge on Omar Kader, but Montrose actually took the lead in the 75th minute through Martin Rennie.
Although their lead didn’t last long as Thomas O’Brien popped up at the back post as he connected to a Jason Thomson cross.
