Marcel Oakley has returned to parent Club Birmingham City after his loan spell came to an end.
Marcel, 20, has been one of the stand out players for Arbroath this season. Marcel joined the Lichties on loan from Birmingham City on the 1st of September and made his debut as a substitute in the Championship at home just 2 days later.
Since then Marcel has made the right back position his own starting the next 15 cinch Scottish Championship matches and also starting in both SPFL Trust Trophy matches and our 3rd round match in the Scottish Cup, making 19 appearances in total with 18 starts.
Being named Man of the Match a few times by our Hospitality patrons, Marcel has been a popular player during his loan spell.
Having helped out with the Community Trust, and given his all to Arbroath on the pitch with great determination and always eager to get forward we know that Marcel will have a huge future in the game.
Marcel is a model pro and it has been a real privilege to have him on loan from Birmingham City FC
