Leighton McIntosh
Arbroath are delighted to announce the signing of 30-year-old striker Leighton McIntosh on a 2 year deal.
Leighton was with Cove Rangers last season and scored 9 goals including one against Arbroath.
This will be Leighton’s third spell with the club having originally had a loan spell on loan from Dundee in the 2013/2014 season when he scored against Ayr United and Forfar Athletic.
Leighton returned to Gayfield after returning from a spell in Iceland with UMF Selfoss where he was full time.
Originally signing on amateur terms, Leighton kicked off his second stint in spell as he came off the bench to score twice against Berwick Rangers before adding another goal Against Forfar Athletic the following week.
Leighton then scored in the 3 consecutive matches against East Fife, Forfar Athletic and a stunning winner over Ayr United.
Another dramatic goal game against Raith Rovers in the final minute before another goal against Raith at Gayfield, and goals against East Fife and Ayr United.
Leighton made 25 appearances in his previous spell with the club with 11 starts scoring 5 goals, and then scored another 5 goals as he came off the bench in dramatic and effective fashion.
