cinch Scottish Championship – Game 15 – Season 2021/2022

Saturday 20th November 2021, Rugby Park, Kilmarnock, 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath make the long trip down to Rugby Park tomorrow for the first time in 30 years as we take on Tommy Wright’s Championship leaders Kilmarnock.

The two sides last met at Gayfield, a match which was broadcast live on BBC Scotland in a goalless draw.

Since then Kilmarnock have overtaken Inverness Caledonian Thistle at the top of the cinch Championship and sit 5 points above Arbroath.

Since that match in September Kilmarnock have added striker Callum Hendry on loan from St Johnstone whilst Cameron Innes joined Queen of the South on loan.

Kilmarnock have only suffered 3 defeats all season, but they have all been at Rugby Park with Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Raith Rovers and Partick Thistle all having left Rugby Park with 3 points.

Arbroath will be likely to face Chris Burke who was injured in September and he was the inspiration for both goals last week in Killie’s win over Greenock Morton.

The Lichties will be again without Nicky Low but he edges every closer to a return to action after suffering injury in this fixture in September.

With Rugby Park being a stadium that many Lichties have yet to visit we hope for a large support to cheer on the team.

It will be another extremely tough match but we hope you can get right behind the team from the very start.

C’mon the Lichties
