Jack Hamilton – Best Newcomer
The Angus Nairn Memorial Trophy (Best Newcomer of the year) Voted by the Board of Directors
The Angus Nairn Memorial Trophy is a trophy in the memory of lifelong Lichtie Angus Nairn who sadly passed away a few years ago.
The memorial trophy was donated by his family and is awarded to the best newcomer of the year, and is voted by the Arbroath FC Board of Directors.
Previous winners include Miko Virtanen, Blair Yule and Jason Thomson, and we are delighted to announce that Jack Hamilton is the winner of the Angus Nairn Memorial Trophy for 2020/2021.
We were absolutely thrilled that we managed to land talented striker Jack Hamilton on loan in January. Having already netted goals for East Fife and his parent club Livingston there was excitement with Jack’s arrival and he did not disappoint!
Jack, who is only 20 scored a remarkable 8 goals in 14 starts for the club and his goals were pivotal in our climb from bottom of the table up to 7th and securing our place in the Championship for a 3rd consecutive season.
There are not many Scottish Players who have scored as many goals as Jack this season with 18 goals in all competitions.
Jack has been a model pro and having scored goals at every level we know Jack has a huge future in the game and we are sure he will be firing in the goals for Livingston in the Premiership next season.
Jack really made a huge impact on everyone at the club and we are delighted that he returns to Livingston with this accolade under his belt.
Congratulations Jack!
