Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3 – 0 Arbroath
A disappointing result for the Lichties this afternoon as they suffered just their 4th defeat in 20 games and our first defeat since the January 9th.
Arbroath got off to the worst possible start as Shane Sutherland poked home after just 5 minutes when the ball fell in the 6 yard box following a corner.
Just 6 minutes later and Inverness doubled their lead after breaking down the right before the ball was played back into the middle where Reece McAlear found the corner of the net with a tidy finish from 18 yards.
Michael McKenna hit the post in the 20th minute but the rebound wouldn’t fall to the waiting Jack Hamilton.
Arbroath improved but really didn’t test MacKay in the Inverness goal.

Dick Campbell was shown a red card early in the second half and sent to the stand after picking up a yellow card in the first half.
As Arbroath made a triple change in the 68th minute they were hit on the break and another uncharacteristic mistake allowed McKay to make it 3-0.
Inverness played the game like an away match hitting Arbroath on the break and the Lichties just didn’t have enough to trouble the Inverness defence.
