Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1 – 1 Arbroath
Dick Campbell Post Match Interview
A really well taken strike by Kieran Shanks in the 60th minute pulled Arbroath level in Inverness this afternoon as his goal cancelled out Nathan Shaw’s goal just 8 minutes earlier.
Both sides could have won the game with Michael McKenna desperately unlucky not to open the scoring in the 27th minute when a well work move was played into his path and his first time 20 yard strike bounced agonisingly the wrong way off the post.
At the other end Derek Gaston pulled off a number of fine saves including 2 inside 30 seconds in the 72nd minute to deny Billy McKay and Wallace Duffy.
Arbroath really rallied in the second half and in the final minutes of the match won 6 corners with a Dylan Tait strike being tipped over the bar.
Both Managers will feel their team could have won it, but a great display from the Lichties and another important point.
A huge thank you to the 150 or so Lichties who made the long trip north!
We hope you all get home safely!
C’mon the Lichties
