India Donation
During the summer we collaborated with a volunteer called Michael who helps Children in Tiruvannamalai Tamil Nadu, India with housing, health and education.
Operations Manager Louse Walker combined with Club Doctor Callum Innes pulled together and a collection of old Arbroath player and coaches playing kit which have made their way over to India and have now been distributed to local children who are pictured wearing them.
Michael puts on a “parotta” night, “when a senior team plays a lunchtime kick off (6pm local time) and the youngsters and a few older friends join to watch the game.
Afterwards we have a Parotta meal. Consisting of an Indian bread (parotta) with various vegetable gravies.
I’m sure most come not for my team, but the food and to watch me watch the football!”
Michael also went on to say “If anyone wants to visit this wee part of India. Tiruvannamalai Tamil Nadu. They would be more than welcome to join me for a wee dram. Not had any visitors from Arbroath yet!”
