Happy Birthday John Young!
Our Head Coach John Young today turns 70 years old today, Friday 22nd October 2021
John has a long history with Arbroath FC having played for the Lichties between 1985 and 1987 before becoming our Manager between 1987 and 1990 and then of course he returned to the club in March 2016 as Head Coach as he joined the club alongside Manager Dick Campbell and Assistant Manager Ian Campbell.
John is meticulous in his preparation in every aspect, especially on match days when he gets the players ready for kick off putting them through their paces before kick off, then watching from the dugout and using his years of experience to take in every element of the game and opposition. John is certainly a big part of our on field success since he arrived back at the club.
Although you always have to be on your toes as John has all the jokes and some cracking stories to share too!
For his Birthday was given this amazing Birthday Cake with such attention to detail!
We are also celebrating Craig Reynolds, who is our Sports Therapist who today turns 41 years old!
Craig, alongside Kevin Milne work hard behind the scenes to make sure our players are in the best condition physically and having been part of the Arbroath FC Family now for a few years, Craig’s expertise, experience and ability has benefited all of our playing squad. From running on to the pitch for an injury, or doing the hours before kick off in the physio room or at training, Craig makes sure that our players get the best possible treatment and recovery plans.
We hope both Youngy and Craigie have a really good day and an even better Saturday!
