Hamilton Academical vs Arbroath – Match Preview
Cinch Scottish Championship – Game 33 – Season 2021 / 2022
Saturday 9th April 2022, New Douglas Park, Hamilton, 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath travel down to New Douglas Park today to face Hamilton Academical for our 33rd game of the season.
The last two encounters between the two sides have been score draws, with our home win back on game 5 our only win over the Accies this season.
In our previous two games the Lichties have struck deep in added time to snatch a point with Thomas O’Brien heading in at New Douglas Park and Michael McKenna keeping his cool to score from the spot at Gayfield.
Accies are chasing Raith Rovers and are just 4 points behind the Fife side whilst Greenock Morton are just 2 points behind Accies as every team in the league battles for points.
Hamilton are undefeated in their last 4 games including a fantastic win over Partick Thistle at Firhill and will be up for the challenge with Andy Ryan looking to add to his tally of 9 goals.
Former Lichtie Miko Virtanen is close to making his Accies come back after being out injured whilst Goalkeeper Joe Hilton also is expected to be missing.
Arbroath look set to be without Chris Hamilton who suffered a very bad cut in last week’s game at Firhill, but hope to welcome Bobby Linn back to the squad after he missed out due to illness last weekend.
It will be another extremely tough match but we hope you can get right behind the team from the very start.
C’mon the Lichties
