Greenock Morton vs Arbroath – Match Preview
Ladbrokes Championship – Game 14 – Season 2019 / 2020
Saturday 16th November 2019, Cappielow Park, Greenock, 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath travel down to Greenock tomorrow for our first match in Cappielow in several years.
Ironically the two sides only met 4 weeks ago at Gayfield when a Bobby Linn free kick sealed the 3 points for the Lichties.
Whilst Greenock Morton haven’t had the best results on the road, they have had great success at Cappielow with wins over Alloa Athletic, Partick Thistle, Dundee, and Inverness Caledonian Thistle and a draw against Dunfermline Athletic with only one defeat at the hands of Ayr United.
Striker Robbie Muirhead misses out for Greenock Morton through suspension, but otherwise Manager David Hopkin should have a full squad at his disposal.
Arbroath will be close to welcoming back Gavin Swankie to the squad, but it’s not yet known if Jason Thomson will have recovered from his injury in time for tomorrow.
Miko Virtanen who has been on international duty with the Finnish U21 side and featured last night against Romania should return in time to travel with the squad.
We hope you will be there to cheer us on!
