Greenock Morton vs Arbroath – Match Preview
Ladbrokes Championship – Game 12 – Season 2020 / 2021
Saturday 30th January 2021, Cappielow Park, Greenock, 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath travel down to Greenock tomorrow as they sides play their postponed fixture from Tuesday 12th January.
It will be another very hard fixture with Greenock Morton having an enviable home record this season only suffering defeat at the hands of Heart of Midlothian at Cappielow
Morton were in action on Wednesday evening, where they came back with 10 men to rescue a point against Inverses Caledonian Thistle in a 2-2 draw.
Rabin Omar was red carded and should miss tomorrow’s match through suspension, with Morton also announcing today that club captain and legend Jim McAllister will hang up his boots after tomorrow’s match.
Since Manager David Hopkin resigned back in December, Morton are undefeated and interim Manager Anton McElhone’s first match in charge was an impressive 2-1 win over Dunfermline Athletic. Despite still playing the entire season with just one goalkeeper on their books, the Ton have produced several good results and sit just one point away from the play-offs in 5th place.
Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell will be looking to build on last Friday’s excellent display against Dundee and with the Lichties now having comeback from their previous 2 games to grab a point it will be hoping new signing Jack Hamilton will help turn those draws into wins.
Jack will go straight in tomorrow’s squad where it is expected Dick will have his full pool of players to choose from.
Greenock Morton are streaming tomorrow’s match on Ton TV for £14.00 https://tv.gmfc.net/ and we hope you can cheer on the team from your armchair.
