Life has been very hard for the past year. We have missed all of our fans at Gayfield. We have missed our friends, family, traveling, hugs, social interaction and so much more!
Lockdown has been different for each and every one of us and it has affected our physical and mental health in so many ways.
This is why, perhaps more than ever the SPFL Trust’s initiative FFIT (Football Fans in Training) may be the first step in getting back to a positive mindset and feeling healthier.
We are delighted to announce that The SPFL Trust programme FFIT is set to return to Gayfield for our 5th programme!
FFIT is a proven fitness and lifestyle programme which happens all over Scotland and the format born in Scotland has been adapted in other forms for the rest of the United Kingdom.
It allows participants to get healthy, lose weight, get active but most importantly it gives you the tools to continue that lifestyle once the programme has finished.
Not only do you learn how to make positive changes to your lifestyle but you also get a behind the scenes look at Gayfield whilst being trained by selected coaches. You will get a nosey at the trophy cabinet and have the chance to talk tactics in the dressing rooms.
The programme is there to teach, help and encourage and there is no judgement only encouragement. Most participants have also forged new friendships which have continued long after the program has concluded.
Football Fans in Training will mainly be held at Gayfield Park and normally runs for 12 to 13 weeks with one programme once a week for 90 minutes.
The 90 minutes is split in half with the first 45 minutes on discussing positive changes to your lifestyle then 45 minutes of physical activity.
We are also delighted to announce that Cassandra Middleton who runs the very successful 360 Health & Fitness in Arbroath (https://www.facebook.com/360hnf/) is going to be the new course leader.
We know you will be in great hands with Cassandra!
If you signed up for last season’s FFIT that was cut short due to the pandemic, please do get in touch as we will be looking to finish last year’s programme.
Participants can only take part in one FFIT programme, so if you have attended a programme in the past unfortunately you can’t sign up for a second.
We are now looking for 20 men and 20 women to sign up to the course.
Remember it is completely free!
There are a few simple criteria you have to meet to enter.
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
