Yesterday was the final game at Arbroath FC for our sports scientist and fitness coach, Ewan Scott Greenhill. Ewan leaves the Lichties for a fantastic full time position at Yeovil Town with their Ladies Team.
Ewan moved to Gayfield during pre-season to continue his relationship with the Arbroath coaching staff from who he knew during his spell at Forfar Athletic. Ewan also has been the Head of Sports Science & Medicine at Forfar Farmington, as well as working for the Scottish Football Association East Region and Brechin City.
Arbroath have been extremely lucky to have Ewan’s skill set and experience as alongside his BSc (Hons) in Sports Biomedicine, he also has a MSc in Sport and Exercise Science and Medicine which has set him apart in Scottish Football. Ewan has also been working on his sports science accreditation with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences – which is the equivalent of a coaching pro licence.
Everyone would like to say thank you to Ewan, who has been a key figure for Arbroath Football Club since his arrival and will be missed by everyone, especially the players.
Good luck Ewan and hope to see you back at Gayfield in the future!
