The Lichties picked up right where they left off at the back end of last season. Dick Campbell’s side picked up all three points in their Premier Sports Cup opener, beating Premiership side and Group E favourites St Mirren 1-0 at the SMiSA Stadium.
Young attacking midfielder Paterson came off the bench late on to score his first professional goal and steer his side to victory on the road.
