cinch Scottish Championship – Game 19 – Season 2021/2022

Sunday 26th December 2021, East End Park, Dunfermline, 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath travel to Fife tomorrow to take on Dunfermline Athletic as the second half of the cinch Scottish Championship gets underway.

There has been one major change at East End Park since our last match with John Hughes being appointed Manager on November 12th after Peter Grant was sacked on the 31st October.

Dunfermline defeated Inverness a day after John was appointed before thumping Ayr United 3-0 at home and have also drawn against Queen of the South but suffered defeat away to Hamilton Academical. Last weekend Craig Wighton scored to pull the Pars level in the 20th minute away to Kilmarnock but the match was abandoned at 1-1 in the 63rd minute.

Dunfermline are without influential midfielder Dom Thomas who is recovering after an operation but Craig Wighton has been give much more of a role under John Hughes and everyone at Arbroath knows how lethal Craig can be in front of goal.

Arbroath will be hoping that they can welcome some of the players and Management team back after missing last week. As the whole country is dealing with the Omicron variant and of course tomorrow’s game will be played behind closed doors.

It will be another extremely tough match but we hope you can get right behind the team from home.

C’mon the Lichties!
