Dundee vs Arbroath – Match Preview
Ladbrokes Championship – Game 08 – Season 2019 / 2020
Saturday 5th October 2019, Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park, Dundee, 3.00pm kick off
The Lichties travel to Dundee tomorrow afternoon for our first league game against Dundee in over 40 years.
Despite the short distance between the two clubs, the two sides have only face each other 32 times in competitive football.
Dundee Currently lead the way with 22 wins, with Arbroath on 7 wins and 3 draws.
We have played each other in friendlies including two games in 2017 at Gayfield, but you have to go back to 2011 where an extra time goal by Stephen O’Donnell sealed a 2-1 win for the Dens Park side.
Dundee recently signed Graham Dorans from Rangers, and have also brought in Sean Mackie and Josh McPake on loan from Hibernian and Rangers respectivaley.
Dundee will be without Jamie Ness but should have a full squad to chose from.
Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell promised to ring the changes after Saturday’s defeat to Ayr United.
David Gold will return to the squad, but winger Scott Stewart still remains out, whilst midfielder Gavin Swankie is expected to be out for another 2 months.
It is another tough fixture for the Lichties, but with the Management team and all the players appreciate and thrive off your support and we are always extremely grateful for your backing on and off the pitch.
We hope you can make it along to Dens Park to cheer on the Lichties.
