Cove Rangers vs Arbroath – Match Preview
cinch Scottish Championship – Game 25 – Season 2022/2023
Saturday 18th February 2023, Balmoral Stadium, Cove, Aberdeen, 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath make the short trip up the east coast tomorrow to take on Paul Hartley’s Cove Rangers. Cove sit 4 points above Arbroath and this match could go a long way into the final leg of the Championship season.
With 3 Supporters buses heading up the Coast, we hope there will be a large and loud Arbroath support cheering on the team.
Cove, like Arbroath had a busy January with both clubs signing 8 new additions.
Arriving at the Balmoral Stadium were Scott Fox (Motherwell), Jason Naismith (Queen’s Park), Miko Virtanen (Hamilton Academical), David Bangala (Ayr United, loan), Declan Glass (Dundee United, loan), Brody Paterson (Hartlepool United, loan), Tony Weston (Rangers, loan) and Gime Touré.
Whilst Fraser Fyvie misses out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery, Cove Rangers also lost 10 players either departing or going out on loan with Stuart McKenzie (Peterhead), Rhys Thomas (Formartine United), Charlie Gilmour (St. Johnstone, end of loan), Max Johnston (Motherwell, end of loan), Jack Sanders (Kilmarnock, end of loan), Evan Towler (Aberdeen, end of loan), Jamie Masson (Australia) and Gerry McDonagh (Scunthorpe United) all departing whilst Robbie Leitch (Kelty Hearts, loan), Balint Demus (Buckie Thistle, loan) both went out on loan.
Arbroath should be at full strength with only Keaghan Jacobs the only absentee as he continues his comeback from surgery.
Your support has been outstanding this season and we hope that you will get right behind the team tomorrow.
C’mon the Lichties!
