cinch SPFL Championship Player of the Month for December – Anton Dowds
Congratulations to striker Anton Dowds who has been voted the cinch SPFL Championship Player of the Month for December 2021.
This is the 3rd cinch SPFL Championship Player of the Month award this season for Arbroath as Anton join Joel Nouble who won it in September and Michael McKenna who won it in August.
It is a December double as Anton joins Manager Dick Campbell who was named Glen’s Vodka Manager of the Month for December.
Anton’s goals against Partick Thistle, Greenock Morton and Dunfermline Athletic as well as an assist to Michael McKenna and the cross which resulted in the own goal against Dunfermline Athletic it was a very good month for Anton which all started with his winning goal against Kilmarnock at the end of November.
Whilst Anton has now returned to Falkirk we are delighted that his goals and performances have been recognised for this award.
Anton previously won Player of the Month in January 2019 in League One whilst he was at East Fife.
Anton has continued his fantastic form with a hat-trick on Saturday.
Anton is dearly missed by everyone at Gayfield and we all send our warmest congratulations to him!
