Hello everyone and Merry Christmas to you all. I hope you are enjoying the time of year and have been able to spend time with family and loved ones over the festive period as we approach 2022 after another amazing year for the Club.
Your support over the last 12 months has been outstanding and myself and my fellow Directors have been truly humbled by your devotion to the Club, as have the management staff and players.
We are undoubtedly experiencing our most successful times ever in terms of achievements both on and off the park and this is all down to the incredible efforts from so many that has raised the profile of this great Club.
There are so many who deserve credit and appreciation and it’s not just to those who are more in the limelight but is also extended to those unsung heroes behind the scenes. We have so many success stories with the growth of sponsorship, advertising, and ground improvements as well as our Community Trust which has continued to blossom within the town.
Your unwavering support both with increases in season ticket sales and home attendances, as well as the many fans who travel to cheer the team on at away grounds has been truly remarkable. This has all contributed to an excellent year and puts us on a great footing as we look to challenge from the top of the Championship going into the New Year.
While many of us are able to enjoy the time of year, we need to also appreciate those who continue to work providing essential services such as the NHS and the care community as well as our armed forces, police and fire service. Their commitment is vital and greatly respected by us all.
As Chairman of Arbroath FC, to be sitting top of the Championship at Christmas makes me very proud and exciting for everything that is in front of us so on behalf of myself and all at the Club I wish you a very prosperous and healthy 2022 and further success for the Lichties.
