John Christison Community Services Trophy – Brian Cowie
We still have one trophy to give out this season, and it is the John Christison Community Services Trophy.
The award is for someone who is an unsung hero in the community for the club and is named after former Chairman and Honorary President, John Christison.
The trophy is in its 3rd year and the winner is voted for by the Arbroath FC Board of Directors.
Last year videographer Neil Douglas was awarded the trophy after volunteering his time and services to the club and community through his brilliant match highlights and 36nilTV, whilst Graham Black was awarded the trophy in its inaugural season.
This year we are delighted to announce that the John Christison Community Services Trophy has been awarded to Brian Cowie.
Not only is Brian a huge Arbroath and Scotland supporter, but Brian has volunteered his time and skills to the club over many years to help keep the lights on and all other electrical work required at keep Gayfield running smoothly.
Needless to say the hundreds of hours Brian has volunteered has saved the club many thousands of pounds and we are thankful for all his work over the years.
Arbroath FC Chairman Mike Caird said “ If Brian is not away enjoying his other passion of hill walking he is always at the end of a phone ready to answer the call to come down and help us out for which we are extremely grateful”
Thank you again Brian Cowie and congratulations on being awarded the John Christison Community Services Trophy for 2019/2020!
C’mon the lichties.
