Brian brings a wealth of experience in business, community work and the football world and will continue to be a key asset for the club, supporters and the community for the coming years. Brian has set an aim to build closer links between the club and the wider community, and is looking forward to the coming season.
“I am very proud and honoured to become the next Vice Chairman of Arbroath Football Club. Being born and brought up in Arbroath I have enjoyed watching the team from the terraces when my dad used to bring me to the matches in the 1970’s, to the present day. A lot has changed at Gayfield over the years but I still get that buzz arriving at the ground on matchday.
I am very excited about the challenges ahead both this season and beyond, and I am totally focused on getting the team back to being competitive again and winning. We have had a taste of playing in the Championship for the last 5 seasons and our aim is to get the club back there as quickly as we possibly can.”
New Club Chairman, Ewen West said “I am delighted that Brian has agreed to take up the very important position of Vice Chairman of Arbroath FC and I am very much looking forward to us working closely together to achieve success on and off the pitch for the Club. Both of us are absolutely committed and determined to ensure a positive outcome for the Season ahead and Brian’s wealth of experience will go a long way to ensuring this happens. Brian’s appointment of Club Vice Chairman is I believe a very important and positive development at the Club”.
