Ayr United vs Arbroath – Match Preview
Cinch Scottish Championship – Game 22 – Season 2022/2023
Saturday 14th January 2023, Somerset Park, Ayr – 3.00pm kick off
The Lichties make the long trip down to Ayr tomorrow to take on Lee Bullen’s Ayr United.
The Honest men currently sit 2nd in the cinch Scottish Championship just 4 points behind leaders Queen’s Park.
Our two meetings this season have seen a goalless draw at Somerset Park on the opening day of the season, then Ayr scored two late goals at Gayfield in October to grab all three points.
Ayr United have yet to make any new signings in the January transfer window but have a talented squad at their disposal which has seen them challenging for promotion.
Arbroath will be without Marcel Oakley whose loan ended this week, with Scott Stewart or David Gold able to play at right back. It is hoped Steven Hetherington and Dylan Tait will be fit to be added to the squad.
The only certain absentee is Keaghan Jacobs who continues his rehabilitation from surgery.
With lots of arrivals and departures here is a revision of our current squad.
