Arbroath secured a draw with Ayr United tonight at Somerset Park under horrible weather conditions thanks to a 48th penalty by Michael McKenna.
Ayr United had taken the lead in the 22nd minute when a wind assisted corner kick from Steven Kelly curled into the net.
However with the wind at their backs for the second half the Lichties got back level just 3 minutes into the second half when McKenna himself was fouled by Sam Roscoe.
Ross Doohan made a wonder save to tip a McKenna shot onto the bar in the 58th minute.
Doohan once again denied substitute Steven Doris with a fantastic save on the stroke of half time before Thomas O’Brien hit the post in the 92nd minute.
Another good draw for the Lichties on the road.
