Hopefully Lichties who can attend matches at Gayfield will have seen the numerous new advertising boards all over ground as local business kindly take out advertising with us helping us support the team on the pitch.
We really think that Gayfield is looking great. However we are always looking to improve and on Sunday at 10am we are undertaking some maintenance and would be very grateful to any Lichtie who can spare a few hours.
Basically the plywood backing boards along the sea side stand supporting the advertising boards have succumb to the weather of the North Sea and are rotting.
We are looking to carefully remove the advertising boards then completely remove the plywood beyond before replacing it with new wood.
So if any Lichties can spare a few hours on Sunday morning at 10am and can come with a hammer and drill then we would love to see you.
We will be supplying bacon rolls to anyone who can make it and the more hands means the work will be done sooner.
