Arbroath vs Stranraer – Match Preview
Match Day 24 – Ladbrokes League 1 – Season 2018 / 2019
Saturday 9th February 2019, Gayfield Park, Arbroath – 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath make a welcome return to action tomorrow at Gayfield as we welcome Stevie Farrell’s Stranraer to Gayfield for our 4th meeting this season.
Stranraer have enjoyed success at Gayfield of a late with 3 wins in their last 4 visits and most recently a win in the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup. However the Lichties enjoyed a 3-1 win at Gayfield in the second game of the season before a 1-0 victory over Stair Park at the end of October.
Like the Lichties, the Blues have had a week without a game after their home tie was postponed last Saturday against Stenhousemuir. Both teams set a date of Tuesday but again the game fell victim to the weather.
Stranraer Team News
Stranraer have seen 4 departures over the winter break with of course striker Luke Donnelly moving to Gayfield and Max Ashmore joining Stirling Albion with Daniel Higgins and Ciaran Driver returning to Kilmarnock and Celtic respectively after their loans came to an end.
Moving to Stair Park were Conor’ O’Keefe who was a free agent after leaving St Mirren and former Lichtie striker Joao Victoria who arrives on loan from Airdrieonians.
Arbroath Team News
Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell has a fully fit squad to chose from and has promised changes to his team selection after the team suffered only their second league defeat of the season last time out.
With 14 games to go your support is crucial to the team. Please get right behind the team from the start and cheer them on.
C’mon the Lichties!
