Match Day 15 – Ladbrokes League One – Season 2017 / 2018
Saturday 2nd December 2017, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off.

Arbroath welcome Stranraer to Gayfield for the first time since the 7th December 2013. It will also be the first time Stevie Farrell’s side has played in a fortnight after a disappointing exit out of the William Hill Scottish Cup when a 93rd minute goal allowed Highland League side Brora Rangers progress to the 4th round.
Last week’s league fixture against Albion Rovers was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Stair Park. It is the second time this season that weather has had an impact on The Blues league campaign with their game against Raith Rovers being abandoned to a waterlogged pitch back in October. That fixture is due to be replayed this coming Tuesday.
Former Lichtie Scott Robertson misses out as he serves the final game of a 3 match suspension but the Blues have brought in 21-year-old midfielder Angus Beith on an emergency loan from Heart of Midlothian.
Arbroath manager Dick Campbell will know that his side are in for another tough match with the visitors looking to see revenge on the 6-2 mauling that the Lichties inflicted on them back in September.
With injuries hitting the small Arbroath squad, the coaching staff will be hoping for more of the determination which seen the Lichties grab a last gasp winner against Forfar Athletic last weekend.
Arbroath will still be without Steven Doris and Josh Skelly, but it is hoped that Gavin Swankie and Danny Denholm will pass late fitness tests and could still be part of the squad.
We are on the road for the next two weekends with tricky fixtures against Albion Rovers and then Alloa Athletic so please get down to Gayfield tomorrow to cheer on the team.
