cinch Scottish Championship – Game 31 – Season 2021/2022

Saturday 26th March 2022, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off.

Arbroath welcome John McGlynn’s Raith Rovers to Gayfield today for our 31st match of the season.

The first game of the season was a victory for Rovers, before a goalless draw at Gayfield then a win for the Lichties at Stark’s Park back in January.

Raith Rovers have added defender Sean Mackie on loan from Hibernian since that match but Raith have major doubts over keeper Jamie MacDonald and Christophe Berra who were both forced off against Inverness Caledonian Thistle last week.

As a result Raith Rovers have brought in 19-year-old keeper Lewis Budinauckas in on a 7 day emergency loan from Rangers.

Frankie Musonda and Ben Williamson are away on international duty, whilst Kyle Benedictus is suspended and Tom Lang and Lewis Vaughan are missing through long term injuries.

Whilst it may seem Raith are depleted Sean Mackie, David McKay, Liam Dick and Reghan Tumilty are available in defence and they still have quality in midfield and up front and this will be another very hard game for the Lichties.

Dick Campbell returns to the dugout for the Lichties after serving his one-match ban and it is hoped Derek Gaston, Liam Henderson and Dale Hilson will be available for selection after all missing out last weekend due to injury.

It will be another extremely tough match but we hope you can get right behind the team from the very start.

C’mon the Lichties!
