Arbroath vs Partick Thistle – Match Preview
cinch Scottish Championship – Game 03 – Season 2021/2022
Saturday 21st August 2021, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath welcome Championship leaders Partick Thistle to Gayfield today for our 3rd match of the new cinch Championship season.
We welcome Ian McCall’s side who have made a great start to the new season scoring 3 goals in each match with two wins under their belt.
There have been many changes at Firhill since we last Partick Thistle back in season 2019/20 but there are plenty of well known names in an experienced side that won League One last season with lots of danger players including Scott Tiffoney and Jake Hastie who has recently joined on loan from Rangers.
The Lichties had a good recored against Partick Thistle in our debut in the Championship with 2 wins and a draw before the season was curtailed.
Arbroath will hope that new loan signing Anton Dowds will be raring to go having signed earlier this week on loan from Falkirk. He may join striker Joel Nouble who is looking for his 3rd goal in 3 matches after making a great start to the season.
The game may just come too quickly for Jason Thomson but it is hoped it won’t be long before Dick has a full squad to chose from.
It will be another extremely tough match but we hope you can get right behind the team from the very start.
C’mon the Lichties
