Match Day 32 – Ladbrokes League One – Season 2018 / 2019

Saturday 6th March 2019, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off

We return to Gayfield tomorrow as we welcome Stuart Petrie’s Montrose for our 3rd final home game of the season.

It is the 2nd of 3 Angus derbies in a row with a trip to Brechin City up next for the Lichties.

Oddly we have yet to play Montrose this year with the last game a dramatic 1-1 draw at Links Park just after Christmas with both goals coming in a 2 minute period.

Montrose are currently on a 3 game winning streak and are now pushing for the final promotion place with East Fife and Airdrieonians with Montrose currently on 5th on goal difference and the Diamonds only 3 points behind.

A double on Tuesday night from Ross Campbell helped Montrose to a 3-0 win over Brechin City at Glebe Park with Dick Campbell’s son playing a starring role in recent weeks.

Montrose Team News

Montrose look to be at full strength with the striker Russell McLean perhaps the only doubt after the former Peterhead striker went off injured against Airdrieonians a month ago and hasn’t featured since.

Arbroath Team News

Arbroath will be hoping that Bobby Linn has recovered from a blow to the knee which forced him off early against Forfar Athletic last weekend.

The Angus Derby is always a tightly contested fixture with form going out of the window.

With Montrose pushing for a promotion place we know it will be another tough match but we hope that you will be loud and get right behind the boys from the 1st minute.
