Arbroath vs Greenock Morton – Match Preview
cinch Scottish Championship – Game 18 – Season 2021/2022
Saturday 18th December 2021, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off
We welcome Derek Anderson’s Greenock Morton to Gayfield tomorrow for our 9th home match of and the final game of the first half of the season.
Gus MacPherson was sacked on the 4th of December after Morton drew 2-2 with Ayr United. Interim Manager Derek Anderson is looking after the team as an interim right now, but he couldn’t prevent the side from going down 1-6 at home last weekend to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The two sides met earlier in the season when an 87th minute penalty kick from Michael McKenna secured a point for the Lichties.
These matches have always been particular close and scrappy in recent seasons with very few goals so the team know they will be in for a tough match.
Arbroath should welcome back Ricky Little tomorrow but this match may come just too soon for Nicky Low who is close to returning to the team.
It will be another extremely tough match but we hope you can get right behind the team from the very start.
C’mon the Lichties!
