Arbroath vs Forfar Athletic – Match Preview
Match Day 22 – Ladbrokes League One – Season 2018 / 2019
Saturday 26th January 2019, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath return to league action tomorrow with 15 games left of the current season. We welcome Jim Weir’s Forfar Athletic to Gayfield tomorrow for our 9th Angus Derby of the season.
The Loons have had a few changes in their squad over the winter transfer period with Andy Munro moving to Stenhousemuir and Aidan Wilson, Lewis Moore and Ross Cunningham all returning to their parent clubs after their loans came to an end.
However experienced defender Adam Eckersely has joined on loan from St Mirren, with keeper Daniel Hoban also joining on loan from Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Brad Spencer joining from Dumbarton.

“The manager has added to his squad since the Kilmarnock clash with addition of midfielder Brad Spencer and the former Dumbarton player goes straight into the pool for the game against the ‘Lichties.’ Dylan Easton an absentee last week due to an ankle injury picked up in training remains a doubt, but that apart the rest of the squad are ready and raring to go.”
Arbroath Team News
Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell has a selection headache with the team performing so well against Stenhousemuir a fortnight ago but with new signing Greig Spence, Danny Denholm and Ryan McCord all impressing against Celtic XI last weekend.
It is hoped that those players who sat out last weekend are all back to fitness and ready for another tough test tomorrow.
This fixture has provided magical for Bobby Linn so far this season as he has notched two hat-tricks, all Lichties will be hoping for another one tomorrow.
It is another tough game for the Lichties and we are hoping for another tremendous and vocal turn out to cheer on the Lichties.
