Arbroath vs Forfar Athletic – Match Preview

Match Day 29 – Ladbrokes League One – Season 2017 / 2018

Saturday 10th March 2018, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off.

We return to Gayfield tomorrow and welcome Jim Weir’s Forfar Athletic for the final meeting this season.

Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell will be looking for a huge reaction from his squad as a disastrous opening 15 minute spell against Alloa Athletic cost the Lichties their first league defeat since December 23rd 2017.

Jim Weir has been making progress at Station Park and side our last meeting the Loons have recorded wins over Albion Rovers, East Fife, Stranraer and picked up a point against Queen’s Park and have moved up to 8th place in League One.

There have been several changes at Station Park since our last match on the 2nd January, as well as former Lichtie Andy Munro being recalled to Station Park after an impressive spell at Broadwood with Danny Lennon’s Clyde.

Station Park Arrivals;

Andy Munro, defender – recalled from Clyde loan
Dale Hilson, striker – St. Mirren
Josh Peters, striker – Livingston, loan made permanent
Ross MacIver, midfielder – Ross County, loan
Russell Dingwall, striker – Ross County, loan
Greg Hurst, striker – St. Johnstone, loan

Station Park Departures;

David Cox Cowdenbeath
Lewis Milne – Montrose
Ouzy See – Berwick Rangers
Conor Quigley – Dundee, end of loan
Conner Duthie – Dunfermline Athletic, end of loan
Scott Lochhead – Dunfermline Athletic, end of loan
Patrick Cregg

Forfar will be without Mark Millar through injury and Eddie Malone is suspended.

Arbroath will welcome back striker Ryan Wallace as he served a one-match suspension on Tuesday evening with changes expected to be made from the defeat at Alloa.

It will be a tough game but with a large and vocal home support then you can be the 12th man.
