Arbroath vs East Fife – Match Preview
SPFL Trust Trophy – Round 3 – Season 2022/2023
Saturday 24th September 2022, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath welcome Stevie Crawford’s East Fife to Gayfield for what will be his last match in charge before becoming Dundee United Assistant Manager from Sunday.
The last time the two sides met was last season in the Premier Sports Cup – Group B match where late goals from Dale Hilson and Luke Donnelly put the Lichties through after David Gold replaced Calum Antell in goal in the 68th minute after his red card.
Arbroath will welcome back Captain Thomas O’Brien and midfielder Scott Allan from suspension, but Dylan Tait played for Hibernian B in the previous round and is cup tied.
East Fife also will be without the St Johnstone on-loan pair of Taylor Steven and Liam Parker who both played for St Johnstone B in the previous rounds, with Liam Parker also suspended for one match.
Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell has a selection headache if he sticks with the team who performed so well last Saturday or gives game time to those players who have been on the bench recently.
We hope there will be a large crowd cheering on the team!
C’mon the Lichties
